KAMO SHEEP PAIR. GOOD PRICES OBTAINED. Messrs Dalgety and Company Ltd., report having held their usual sheep fair at Kamo on Tuesday, January 22, ,1929. There was a. good yarding and a good attendance of buyers. Competition was been and prices were on a par with late rates. Following arc the prices realised: — Store wethers, 24s to 255; tw T o-tooth ewes, 20s 3d to 30s; four-tooth ewes, 28s 3d to 31s; aged ewes, 13s 6d to 17s; 4 and 5 year ewes, 20s 3d to 22s 2d; ewe lambs, 22s 4d; wether lambs, 17s 2d; mixed sorts, 14s to 15s Id.
NORTH AUCKLAND FARMERS ; CO-OP.
The North Auckland Farmers’ Coop. Ltd., report that on January 22nd they held! the first sheep fair of the season at the Kamo yards. The entry was exceptionally large for a January sale and comprised 3091 sheep of all classes, lambs predominating. Practically, the whole yarding changed hands at prices considerably in excess of those ruling during past years.
Following are prices realised:— Mixed 'aged ewes, 275; full mouth ewes, 2ls to 24s 6d; poorer sorts, 17s 6d to 19s 6d'; failing mouths, 10s to 15s 3d; two-tooth Avcthers, 2(is to 275; woolly ew r e lambs, 20s to 23s 8d; shorn, to 21s; mixed sox lambs, second cjual-' ity, IGs to 19s; cull lambs, 11s to 13s Gd; mixed sex lambs in wool, best quality, 23s 2d,
