TOWN HALL, TONIGHT.
MONTE CARLO SCREENED,
SPARKLING STORY,
Tonight at the Town Hall the big feature is “The Garden of Eden.” This is Corinne’ Griffith’s first United Artists Picture. It is a modern dress, high comedy romance, based on the stage play of the same name that had long runs in' Germany, Austria, England and the United States. Lowell Sherman, Louise Dresser and Edward Martindel support Miss Griffith. Lewis Milestone, maker of “Two Arabian Knights,” directed. Despite its title, “The Garden of Eden” is of modern vintage, with Budapest and Monte Carlo as the main locales. The garden of the Hotel Eden, at Monte Carlo, supplies the source of the title, send a facile comparison with the original Garden of Eden, includes the apples and the snake. The situations on the train from Vienna to Budapest are entirely filmed in colour.
