BANDITS SLAY FARMER.

(United Service.) (Received 10.5 a.m.) VANCOUVER, August 18, At Barry Sound, three train robbers, fleeing after looting a mail car of £2OOO, roused a good-natured farmer out of bed to help them when their stolen automobile got into, a ditch and then shot him dead f(/r his pains.

When pursuers' overtook them one robber was captured with his pockets filled with stolen property. The others escaped.
