GUILTY SENTENCED
BIGAMIST GETS TWO YEARS.
AUCKLAND, This Day,
The following were sentenced at the Supreme Court, this morning;— Robert Leonard Pickworth, forgery at the Thames, three years’ reformative; Maurice Chapman, -who admitted forging a cheque for £IOO, 12 months’ hard labour; Edward Russell Everett, theft, forgery and attempted uttering, probation for one year. Francis William Swcetman, aged 28, bigamy, two years’ hard labour. John Walker, committed from Hamilton, on charges of forgery, uttering and false pretences was admitted to ’two years’ probation on condition lie paid £9 18s (id costs and takes out a prohibition order.
