I Western Pluck is an Art Acord open J air thriller, of the new western type that aims to give something clever and daring along with a warm toned romance. Art Acord and his horse pvej sent a really entertaining partnership in sensational screen work. First class of the western type, with a popular plot. 85 85 85 85 Fools in the Daxk, a brisk and gripping play —melodrama —with a decidedly star cast, and a plot that intrigues. This is a thoroughly good Fox programme. 85 8s as 85 April Fool, with Alex Carr in the leading role is a really jolly comedy. Carr will be remembered for his keenly humorous part in Potash and Perl-mut-ter. Here are plenty of laughs to blow away care, and pass a merry evening. 85 85 85 85 The Music Master, starring Alec B. Francis, is listed among pictures as “a Fox Special.” Francis is a favourite of his type, a very finished character actor. The scenes recall some wayback fashions, but you can’t revise a famous dramatic triumph of the days gone and put it into the short fashions of today without spoiling the theme. i 85 85 85 85 The story of “The Music Master” harks back to the time when horses had equal rights on Broadway, when women had not rights on Election Day, when men had begun to shed sidewliiskers and before ladies had even thought of eliminating petticoats. Heavy-hoofed Percherons champed down the street drawvulgar- vehicles known as brewery wagons, in contrast to the more dainty footed saddle horses we glimpse in the park nowadays when the weather is favourable; That was the day of the long trail* and leg-of-mutton sleeve, believed to be feminine adornment par excellence by the fashionables of the period. It was long before the bob had driven men from their sequestered haunts in barber shops. Incidentally Director Allan Dwan had more than a little difficulty to find enough women with long hair for his scenes. Those who recall such popular songs as “After the Ball,” “Good-bye, Dolly Gray,” and “Hiawatha” will welcome many familiar sights that have been relegated to .the .picturesque past. The title role of “The Music Master” is portrayed by Alec Francis, with Lois Moran, Helen Chandler and Neil Hamilton playing prominent parts. Bill Tilden, the tennis star, tried his cannon ball service in the role of butler. 8 85 85 -8

Thq Little Journey, a Motro-Goldwyn starring William Haines and Claire Winsor presents brilliant comedy drama. Action takes place on a train. Here is novelty, and the opportunity for some hilarious situations, which, believe me, is fully seized. Thoroughly, jolly 9 en> tertainment. See it. % m 'ss. as

Breakfast at Sunrise and When East Comes West are the two features that combine to make a popular Saturday night programme, and they won’t fail to give patrons a rollicking gpod run for their'money, and some over. Constance appears in the menu of the early morning meal, and Franklyn Farnmn is the star of the breezy Western. Nobody knew Johnson of New York. The Cowboys ridiculed him. He applied for the job of s’herriff. Everybody had tried it and lost it. Tenderfoot Johnson liked it and held it. Who was. he? “When East Comes West” unfolds a big surprise but you get the thrills first. It’s a mile-a-mih-ute mystery Western with a plot that leaves you gasping with amazement.
