GERMANY PAYS
FOR LIVES OF NON-COMBATANTS,
COSTLY SUBMARINE CAMPAIGN,

Germany has agreed to pay Norway about £330,000 as compensation for Norwegian seamen killed, or wounded, during the war through the German submarine campaign. The Norwegian Government will devote the money to the families of the victims.—A. and N.Z.
