A FOR TUX AT E DISCOVERY. (Received 11.55 a.m.) LONDON, November 9. Latvian authorities, at the instance of the British legation, seized what is believed to be part of silver and valuables plundered from the British embassy at Leningrad in 1917. It is eontnined in seven eases addressed to a bankrupt merchant and it lay in the customs for a year, when it was advertised for auction. The British coat .of arms on the cutlery aroused suspicions, and the auction was delayed pending investigation. Tlie cases also contain china bearing the Russian imperial coat of arms.—A. and N.Z.
