SPRING RACING
LARGE ATTENDANCE RECORDED BEAUTIFUL WEATHER GOOD SPORT EVIDENT
Kensington Bark was the Mecca today for practically the majority of the residents of the Whangarei district. It was apparent from early morning that a fine day was assured and as a corollary there was a splendid attendance >of the public. When the first race was due to start the lawn was a striking picture, the blaze of colour ■malting a decided contrast against the green of the verdure. The Whangarei Municipal Band, under Mr Albert Dobson, L.A.8., T.C.L., was present in full force. The track was in splendid order and it will not be surprising if fast times are recorded. The officials have everything in train and a successful meeting is assured. Many visitors from outside districts are present. • The following are details of the racing;— SPRING PLATE
