FORTUNATE CHANGE OP WIND, (Received 9 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Tins Day. Heavy rain extinguished the hush fire and the damage is not as extensive as at first anticipated. A change of wind averted the danger to Bainarring. —A. and N.Z.
