PREJUDICING BRITISH TRADE. (Received 0 a.m.) LONDON, April 6. The "Financial News,” reviewing Australian loan maturities in 1927, discusses exhaustively the question of New York borrowing. The paper mentions fears in London financial circles that this will in some way assist American trade with Australia at the expense of British trade. The writer recommends that every effort be made to retain business here, but admits that, as Australia must be-a'heavy'borrower, careful management will 'be necessary if her wants are to be satisfied at low cost. —A. and N.Z.
