DISGRACEFUL CONDUCT

ATHLETES EINED. GISBORNE, This Day. Following riding in the three-mile cycle handicap at the Ngatapa Sports yesterday, McCann and Brewster, of New Plymouth, appeared before t}ie committee. The former was fined £1 for foul riding and the latter 10/ for bad language. This was the result of alleged interference with a Gisborne rider, Dolman, during the race. Subsequently, McCann and Brewster laid complaints against Dolman and Hamilton, who had supported the former complaint. Dolman was fined £1 for assault and Hamilton 10/ for abusive language. —Press Assn.
