BURGLARS AT REMUERA. £4O TAKEN FROM RAILWAY. STATION. AUCKLAND, This Day. Eemuera railway station was entered an Saturday morning by a burglar, wAo blew open the safe in the booking office and removed cheques and cash, ■totalling £4O, of which £lB "was in cash. The safe door was badly shattered, showing that a large quantity of explosive "was used. Rifled drawers were found under a bridge fifty yards from the station. Two nearby residents heard the sound of an explosion about two o'clock on Saturday morning, but attributed it to a punctured motor tyre. —Press Assn.
