(Doe) Mackenzie, who has been seriously' ill with pneumonia, to which he went down five weeks ago, has reached a stage of convalescence which enables him to bo about again. E. Meyer, who played Rugby football for Hikurangi last season, and who turned out for Auckland Training Collodge this year, has been selected to play as first five-eighths for Auckland against Thames on Saturday. Friends of Mr W. 11. Timewell, who has not been well for some time, will be pleased to hear that an operation for appendicitis was successfully performed at Hamilton yesterday. Mr Timewell is reported to be doing well.
