Injuries to the head were sustained '<■ by a 16-year-old boy, Peter Conway 1 Connolly, at a picnic yesterday after- 1 noon at Brown’s Bay. He was run- 1 ning down a steep incline, when he f tripped and fell with considerable 1 force on his head. He was taken to 1 the Auckland Hospital and operated 1 on. He is reported to be progressing 1 satisfactorily. t
