It is now known that German capitalists have acquired claims at both ends of the ' Monowai mine and Waiomio, between Thames and Coromandel, where they propose to erect concentration works for the treatment of refractory ores. They arc making overtures for the purchase of the Monowai Company’s property, with a view of consolidating their holdings.—Press Assn.
