RAILWAYS' OLD SERVANT.

AN IMPORTANT POSITION

(Special to "Northern Advocate.") AUCKLAND, This Day. The appointment of Mr. H. H. Sterling, of Wellington, to the position of General Manager of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Hamilton, was confirmed at a meeting of the directors yesterday. Mr. Sterling, who is about 40 years of age, has had 25 years' service in the New Zealand Railways. He is a qualified solicitor and had attained one of the highest positions in the service, that of a member, of the Railways Board. Mr. Sterling takes up his new appointment within a few weeks and a little later, Mr. W. Goodfellow, who will retain liiy position as managing director of the company, will move to Auckland to live.
