For the second day of the Grand National meeting the weather was dull and the course a little on the heavy side. The following are the results :—

Hunt Club Cup, of 250 sovs; about two miles and a half —Birkenella, 11.11, 1; Ethiopian, 11.3, 2; Nightraid, 10.12, 3. Uncle Bob, 12.4, also started. Won by ten lengths. Time— snrin 43sec.

Woolston of 250 sovs; six furlongs—-High flown, 10.2, 1; Miss Minerva, 10.5, 2; Uleaborg, 9.13, 3. Blue Peter was scratched. Won by a head. Time—lmin 19 2-ssec.
