The position at the close was as follows: — Players, Ist innings (8 wickets, declared) ... 403 Players, 2nd innings (7 wickets, declared) .. . 252 — 655 Gentlemen, Ist innings . . 458 Gentlemen, 2nd innings (6 wickets) .. 200 — 658 In the Players' second innings Hobbs scored 51 and Hearne 65 not out.
