MEN REFUSE TO BUDGE,
(Received 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, July 11. The executive of the Miners' Federation conferred for an hour with Mr W. C. Bridgeman, Sir A. H. D. SteelMaitland and Mr G. M. Fox, to whom it is understood they, made it quite clear thai it is absolutely impossible for the miners' representatives to meet the ccal owners on the owners' present propc: j als. —A. and N.Z.
MASSED STRIKE,
RESISTING WAGE REDUCTIONS. FRANCO-BELGIAN DECISION. (Received 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, July 11. The French and Belgian Miners' Federations have decided to take drastic action in resistance of wage reductions. The whole of the mining employees in both countries will cease work simultaneously in case of non-settle-ment of their claims. —Sun.
