PERSONAL.
The manager of Ruakura State Farm, Instructor A. W. Green, has received notice of transfer to Hawke's Bay. Mr. Green leaves Ruakura on July 18. He has been there eighteen years. Mr. J. Lowe, formerly of the Public Works Department, was, on the recommendation o£ the engineer, Mr. J. Norris, appointed as county foreman at the meeting of the Whangarei County Council this morning. There was a little business at the meeting of the Whangarei County Council this morning which did not figure on the order paper, when the chairman, Mr. W. Jones, called upon Cr. J. Morrison to accept a handsome oak and silver tray as a wedding present from the members and staff. The chairman assured the recipient that the present carried with it the very best of wishes to him and to Mrs. Morrison. In acknowledgment Cr. Morrison thanked his .colleagues and the staff most sincerely for the handsome present and ' kind expressions. Mrs. Morrison and he would ever treasure them and the kindly feeling whiteh had prompted them.
