EX-CROWN PRINCE.
CIVIC CAPACITY. DECLARED UNRESTRICTED. . (Received 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, February 9. The "Times' " Berlin correspondent says: "The ex-Crown Prince has come suddenly info the limelight, following upon protests because he attended a recent meeting of the Silesir.7i Land League. Major Muldner, his Adjutant, asserts that the Prince is perfectly free to engage in politics and declares that on his return to Germany he gave no binding undertaking to abstain from participation in public affairs. He merely undertook to show reserve thereto and anyone asserting the contrary would be flying in the face" of truth. The Prince could not show more reserve than he does at present, unless he wished to get the reputation of a man completely without interest and indifferent to the cares of his fellow countrymen. "It may be recalled that when he was permitted to return Herr Stresomann publicly announced that his assent thereto had been given mainly because he was satisfied that the Prince had no intention of becoming entangled in Nationalist military cliques."— Times.
