Assessments of rents and compensation were made by the Warden in rei spect to private lands upon which the ' aerial ropeway and waterworks are to be constructed. Only 2$ per cent. ; of the average annual rainfall was | required to fill the reservoir. The aerial ; ropeway would be three miles long and ! ; would deliver 100 tons of limestone to i j the works every hour. ! An army of men is already at work : and many more are being constantly , engaged. It is expected that cement j Will be produced in 18 months. |
