SCHOOLBOYS' VISIT.

The members t':c Helensville School 's football i<::■ 11, *»lio have been in Whan;-irei foi :ii<* last four days, returned to their -n-iues by the Auckland train this morning. Parents of Whangarei school children acted as hosts and the executive of the Whangarei Primary Schools Rugby Association took the boys on a tour of the district. The Whangarei Falls were visited on Saturday morning. On Sunday afternoon v number of the residents kindly lent their cars and conveyed the team to the Waro Rocks, where afternoon tea was dispensed. On the return journey a call was made at Ivamo Springs, the boys being particularly keen to sample the waters and compare them with those of their own town.
Yesterday morning the Tvia Ora Motor?, Litd., generously provided free cars and a pleasant trip vas made through the beautiful Mamm country to Maungatapere.
At the conclusion of the Whangarei High School match yesterday afternoon Mr R. Barker, of Helensville, in a happy speech thanked the members of the Whangarei team for the splendid time they had given them. He expressed the visitors' keen appreciation of the abundant hospitality of the people of Whangarei and was loud in his praise of the beauties of the dis-
trict. Mr F. Garland, in reply, thanked Mr Barker for his kind remarks and said that it had been a pleasure to enterta'n such a fine lot of boy:-; as tin Helensville team were. Though beaten in Saturday's match, they had giver, a fine exhibition of Rugby, playing a clean game throughout and taking their defeat like true sports. He also said that he was glad to have this opportunity of thanking the Picture Company for giving free passes to the boys for Friday night and-Monday night; the residents who kindly lent their cars on Sunday; the Ivia Ora Motors, Ltd., for the free use of cars; and the parents who billeted the team. Personsally he'thought that the people of Whangarei were endowed with a generous bump of hospitality. In conclusion he expressed a hope that he would be able to send a team of boys to play a return match.
