at the Whangarei Magistrate's Court yesterday. IVTr. R. W. Tate, S.M.. prosit I oil. BY DEFAULT. Judgment by default was given for the plaintiffs in the following cases: — A. K. Franks (Mr Trimmer) v. A. Butler, £2 10s, costs £1 3s fid; H. Butterworth (Mr Trimmer) v. L. Conard £8 0s Id, costs £1 10s (3d; Farmers' Union Trading Company (Mr Briggs) v. A. White, £4 His lOd, costs £1 3s Gd; J. Cairns (Mr Briggs) v. J. Hipi, £1 ss, costs £1 Is; Charles Roscoe (Mr Woods) v. J. Kake £4 4s sd, costs £2 6s 6d. RENT AND POSSESSION. The Public Trustee (Mr Harrison) obtained judgment for £33 rent, and costs £3 Is (id, against James Conaghan; also an order for possession on or before August 12. JUDGMENT SUMMONS. Tn the case of W. Atheiton (Mr Steadman) v. Jack Berg'han, there was no appearance of the debtor. An order was made for the payment of £7 19s fid, in default seven days' imprisonment. The claim of Monk and Company (Mr Trimmer) against a Moari named J. Pitman, failed to secure an order, the defendant pleading out of worlc and sickness. He was, he said, still under the doctor and could not tell when lie could be able to resume work. He was married.
