At the Wimbledon tennis Brookes beat Hunter, 3—6, (5—3, 6 —l, 5 7 ? 6—2; Kingscote beat Ritchie, B—6, 6—3, 6—3'. Rutman and' Hadi defeated Williai'd ami Bnyley, 6—3, 6—3, 6—3.—Renter. A BRILLIANT MATCH. (Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 26. Hunter began brilliantly, giving Brookes no chance. Taking the initiative in the second set, Brookes got into his stride and kept the Ameemwn running continually. He played on Hunter's backhand. ,A remarkable incident occurred in the first game. \ shot from Brookes hit the net post, tinball bounced into Hunter's court. The former refused to take the point, but ultimately won the game.—Reuter.
