The principal ones are — A bitumen highway from Waikanae to Tokomarn, 40 miles, width 18 feet, to cost £148,000, of which the board and the local authorities will pay half each. The work will take three years. The next in order of value is six and aquartcr miles of concrete paving from Oakley Creek to Henderson, a width of 18 feet, to cost £00,000, the period of construction being two years.— Press Assn.
