In <thc House of Representatives Mr 8. M. Brucc, Prime Minister, outlined the agenda paper for the Imperial Con- >'■ ferehce. He explained "the Ministry's attitude towards the questions, especially . emphasising the necessity for giving tho Dominions a'voice in foreign affairs. Apropos of the latter, !Mr Bruce mentioned that tlie action of Mr 7 Lloyd George in bringing the Empire to the brink of war 'with Turkey was most unfortunate.
Mr Bruce was taunted by Opposition members with being a member of the Hughes Ministry, which supported* MrLloyd George's action.
Mr Briice replied that ho made •no apology for Groat, Britain in deciding to t^kc. action. There, was no alternative but to assist by' prompt action ,of the Commonwealth, which probably prevented war.—-A. and N.Z.
