DESCRIPTION OF CHRIST.
IN A VATICAN TOME. (Received 11.40 a.m.) PAEIS, May 3. The earliest personal description of Christ, according to "Le Matin," has teen discovered in an old Latin text in the Vatican Library. It is practically the equivalent of a modern police report, written in the time of Putyiufe Lentulus, believed to have been Pilate's predecossor. It says: "Christ possesses long, fair hair, falling in curves on his shoulders. His hair is parted in the middle. Ho wears a double-pointed beard, fairer v than his hair. His oyes fire light blue, kindly in expression, but sometimes flash under the stress of tempor. He is of normal build. He stands erect. His voice is soft. He is never seen to laugh, but often cries. His hands are well kept.'' The description concludes: "He is called Jesus, Son of Mary. His friends eall him 'Son of God.' tfaited Ser- » 1 vice* .
