* THE MERCHANDISE BILL. DOMINIONS' VIEWPOINTS. PEEFEEENCE PEOMINENT. ] (Eeceived 11 a.m.) LONDON, May 3. In the House, of Commons Mr W. M. E. Pringle, for the Standing , Committee on the Merchandise Bill, submitted an amendment excluding all Dominions' products from the scope of the measure, He said that the object was to discover the tenour of the Dominions' representations on the subject. Sir E. A. Sanders said that Canada, New Zealand and many of the colonies had sent representations, but it would not be in accordance with the usual practice to reveal these in detail. They were not contrary to the general principles of the Bill, but demanded that Empire products be treated differently from foreign. If the Government could meet the colonies he would submit amendments later. Mr Pringle thereupon withdrew his amendment.
