'%nCSPi.CTOR-G*;NERAL l S VIEW. % : RECURRENT INSANITY. SYDNEY, This Day. The Lunacy Court on Saturday continued the hearing of the case aiising of an order obtained ex parte by Dr. G. Thompson from the judge in lunsicy relating to the detention in the Gladesville Mental Hospital of Claude Farr, wife of Professor Farr, of Christchurch. Dr. Sinclair (Inspector-General of "Mental Hospitals) gave evidence that Hfrs Farr lire 1 cniae under his observation in 1&15. She was" then suffering from periodical insanity, with its nttendart excitemcnt and ealnaToss. At •present she wa? approaching normality, "but her insanity was recurrent, and he did not .favour her unconditional release. The hearing was adjourned till to-day.—A. and N.Z.
