MARRIAGE.

Over 100 invited guests wore in attendance at Mr and Mrs M. Dwyer's residence, Otakairangi, on April 20, when n very pretty wedding was celebrated by the I?ov. Nicholas. Miss Alice Elizabeth -Jean Dwycr, only ■laughter of Mr and Mrs M. Dwyer, of Otaikairarigi, wav married to Mr Archibald Wright, fourth son of Mr and Mrs J. Wright, of Tikipunga, Whangarei. The bride entered the tastefully decorated drawing room on the arm of her father, during the singing of the hymn "The Voice That Breathed O'er Eden," Miss Elliott presiding at the piano. The bride -was given away by her father aiul was charmingly gowned in white crepe de chine, beautifully trimmed with laec and pearl embroid-
I cry. She wore the orthodox veil and orange blo>?om,s and carried a beautiful •bouquet of white flowers. The bridesmaids, Misses Irene Erock and ' Hnzcl Forsyth, cousins?, of Ihc bride, wore becoming frocks of embroidered pink crepe do chine and carricd pink floral bouquets. Two pretty little flower girls, Philli? and Gladys Thomas, were. fiocked in embroidered voile and famed baskets of pink flowers. The duties of best man were performed by "Mi- J. Wright, and Mr E. Dwyer officiated os groomsman. The bride's father's present was a ehequc and the bridegroom's gift to the bride was a silver casket, to the bridesmaids gold brooches and to the flower girls necklets and pendants. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a gold chain. The presents to the bride and bridegroom from their many friends and relatives wore numerous and valuable, including many cheques and bank note*. On Ihe completion of the marriage ceremony the Wedding March was played by Mrs Treouaine as the bridal couple proceeded to the marquee erected adjacent to the homestead, where n most sumptuous wedding breakfast was awaiting them and the invited guests. Seating accommodation for over SO persons was arranged for the first group, with the bridal party at Ihe head. Just previous to the bridal party entering the marquee a halt was made for the purpose of i having a photo taken. The wedding breakfast proved jolly, afid'tlie* custom- ; arv toasts with musical honours were
observed. Rev. Nicholas proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom, the bridegroom responding appreciatively and in turn proposing the health of the bridesmaids. Mr J. Wright suitably responded. Mr J. Brock, in proposing the health of the bride and bridegroom's parents, caused much merriment by the -witticism introduced. Mr M. Dwyer, in responding, made some very appropriate aial appreciative references duly thanked the Indies and gentlemen who had so kindly rendered expert assistance in connection wLh the eventful day. He wished the guc=ts long lives of health and prosperity. Mr Wright, senr., also suitably responded. Mr F. Elliot was entrusted with the toast of the visitors and fulfdlcd his mission with credit. After tho wedding breakfast numerous photos were taken of the bridal party, the relatives and all the guests present. " The bride and bridegroom left by motor en route for Rotorua and surrounding districts for their honeymoon. They have the best wishes of a wide circle of friends and relatives for a long and happy voyage of wedded life.
