Skeet, Commissioner of Crown Lands and Chief Surveyor, Auckland, had been appointed to t&e position, of Surveyor-General for the Dominion. An appeal was made against this appointment by Mr W. T. Neill, Chief Inspector of Surveys aad Chief Computer in the Lands and Surveys Department!, and this was heard last week by the Public Service Board of Appeal, which decided that the appeal should be upheld.—Press Assn.
