AND RELIGIOU3. FREEDOM.
A WAIAPU RESOLUTION".
' WELLINGTON, This Day. The Standing Committee of the Diocese of Waiapu passed the following resolution; "While it is competent for the State to make its own code for legally valid marriage the proposed amendment of the Marriage Act would apparently make it penal for any rer ligious society to set before, its own members the ideal of marriage contained in the Gospel. This committee respectfully begs Parliament not to impose this restriction on religious liberty.' '—Press -A&Sn.
