LEAGUE VERSUS RUGBY,
EACH SEEKING DOMINANCE
LONDON, Sept. 26,
A special meettng of the English Rugby Union unanimously adopted the amendments and rules as viously forwarded to the various Dominion 'unions. Mr Wray presented the New Zealand union's reply regarding the amendments, which expressed disappointment, and added that while the New Zealand union was loyal, it feared that League football would kill Rugby in Australia, if the Sydney conference amendments were not accepted. Mr Rowland Hll appealed to everybody to keep the Dominion unions playing under the same rules as played in England. He thought that New Zealand and Australia should be represented on the international board, and- he suggested that they should off-daily appiiy for Meipreeenltlat'on. One delegate remarked: "It seems too terrible that a chance lexists of losing such splendid sportsmen."—A. and N.Z.
