STOCK SALES.
DALGETY AND COMPANY,
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their fat stock sab at Westfield on Wednesday, as follows:— Beef.—A large yarding. Prime ox beef was firmer than last week, but cow was hardly as good. Unfinished sorts were haid to sell. Extra £2 15/ per 1001b, prime £2 12/ to* £2 9/, others £2 4/ to 38/; prime cow, £2 5/ to £2 3/, ordinary £2 to 35/. Sheep.—A medium yarding. Prices not quite so good. Prime wethers £2 to 38/, good 37/ to 33/; prime ewes •W to 33/, others 30/ to 25/. yarding. Good calves sold well, others were neglected. . Runners, £6 to £4; vealers, £3 10/. to £2 10/; fresh dropped, ■10/. Pigs.—Good yarding, Ibut bidding was brisk. Baconers, £8 to £6 10/; el oppers, £6 to £4 10/; porkers, £3 10/ to £2 10/. Stores neglected. Lambs.—.Fair yarding. A fair number of good lambs yarded. All classes met with a ready sale. Prime 31/, good 29/ to 25/, shorn 20/ to 1-6/.
