WASTED MEAT
r Received 9.15 a m.) LONDON, Feb. 8. A curious pro3ocution is proceeding of six Newcastle food officials, charged v.ith wasting 1325 carcases of Austral;an meat received in July, 1919, which were unreasonably retained until September, when they were unfit for food. The accused include the local livestock commissioner, the area meat agent, and members of the Meat Distribution Committee under the Food Controller. The case was adjourned.---A. t>jtd N.Z.
