WHAT THE DRIVER MUST DO

STRINGENT REGULATIONS

Here are the traffic regulations issued at Yokohama. There has been some discussion in Wellington at the regulations at present in force and meetings in connection with the conditions proposed, but what would happen in the Supreme City if motorists and others attempted to comply with these by-laws:— TRANSCRIPT OF REGULATIONS. Art. No. 22—Conductors and Driv. ers must observe the regulations, as follows:— I—On passenger car f it is prohibited to be exceed the full strength of staff to take car. Remarks: Less than 4 years of age is out of full personnel and one A each over 4 years to less than 12 years age is considered a person. 2—lt is prohibited to lend license to other persons. 3—lt is -prohibited to drive when he is drunk. 4—ln the night, it must put light to keep candles which ruled in the regulations. s—He must be stop when he ordered by Policeman to stop. Art. No. 23—Drivers must observe the other regulations as follows:—» I—When he taken out of stand of motion, he must do the way of prevention of Risks. 2—lt is prohibited to go parallel with other car. 3—'When the car goes forward connecting with other cars it must keep distance for 10 Ken. 4—lt must always bell and goes slowly when car is going cm crossroads, bridge, slopes, muddy roads, and across Railway or Street car roads, ■s—When the car is passing the street-cross into the right i turn round long, into turn short 6—lt is prohibited to go forward fire places and places is crowded. B—lt must always keep road into left side except when the car meet with troops must pass right side. ■9—When it is trying to- outstrip the other car, it must bell and go right side of the former car. 10 —Do not obstruct the progressing of fire cars and mail cars when it meet with them. 11—When close by horse car, it must take care that do not astonish a horse. 12—It is prohibited to drive connecting with other automobile except impossibility of motion. 13—When it meet with other automobile it must less candles for his convenience of motion.
