A sequel to a raid on the "Stars and Stripes" restaurant on tn<* night of Thursday last was enacted at the Police Court yesterday afternoon, before, Mr J. F.. Wilson, S.M., when the keeper of the house, Marigan Milicich, an Austrian, was charged with sdling liquor on unlicensed premises. The police stated thai there was ample evidence that extensive drinking had been carried on, enquiries showing that Milicich had bought large quantities from a wholesale deoler in town and also from an hotel. Th<» total value of his purchases had been about £100, and tho liquor had been retailed at about 300 per cent, profit.
