NORMAN ROSS FEAT.

SYDNEY, Jan. 8

The New South Wales quartermilt swimming championship was won by Norman Ross (America), with Longworth second and Brown third. The race was won in the easiest manner by 20 yard s in 5.22.

Ross established a world ? s record time in the race, and could have improved the time as the result was never in doubt.

The 220 yds breast stroke championship resulted: Finiay 1, Bee': 2, Furness 3, Won by six yards. Time: 3.20.—A. and N.Z.
