THE KING'S BILLIARD PARLOURS.
One of the institutions in Whangarei which has won rapid popularity under capable management is the King's Billiard Parlours, in James street. The conversion of the picture theatre was a complete success and the "King's" now can safely Ibe classed as one of the most up-to-date saloons outside the big centres. The lighting in the daytime is excellent while at night the electric service ensures most enjoyable play. Although there are four of Alcoek's Commercial tables in the room the accommodation is ample and play can be carried on without the least crowding. Spectators are also catered for by comfortable seating accommodation and play can be watched under very pleasant conditions. The ventilation, like the lighting has received special attention. In addition players have the benefit of Mr Troy's expert guidance and he keeps the tables and cues in perfect order.
