WHERE KEYNOTE IS QUALITY,
For a general assortment of articles suitable for Christmas presents, there is none more extensive than that offered at F. W. Reed's, chemist's and stationery establishment. The keynot of Mr Reed's endeavour is to specialise in first-class quality of goods only, and the attractiveness of his Christmas stock is a very good proof that such aims are on right lines.
The goods offered cover such a great range that the problem of choosing appropriate gifts suitable for the varying requirements of different friends can be solved within the establishment; a convenience which does not often apply and one which eliminates a great deal of the worry of Christmas shopping. For ladies' presents the variety is remarkable, and amongst the many things shown may be specially mentioned carefully selected ranges of ladies' handbags, scent bottles, manicure sets, dressing cases, and perfumery, while a great assortment of brushes, mirrors, and other toilet requisites attracts admiration. A big show of very pretty bathing caps is proving popular_ and a special line of very artistic and really good pewter has also claimed many admirers.
Mr Reed has not had so good an array of Christmas books and volumes suitable for presents for children as well as adults, for years. The shelves contain the very latest books of all kinds, and there is an attractive display of autograph and other albums, of hymn and prayer books, and of the many annuals so prized by the younger folk—"Chums," the "Boys' Own," "Girls' Own," "Chatterbox," etc.
, For men the pocket books and wallets, diaries, and military brushes give a good selection, while of the extensive range of articles suitable for gift to either men or womenfolk, the fountain pens (an excellent assortment), Vacuum flasks, and, when suitable, photographic apparatus and material, will give Christmas shoppers plenty to choose from, and the satisfaction of knowing that their gifts are of one quality only—the best.
