NORTHERN TERRITORY.
GILRUTH UNDER SUSPICION. (Received 10.50 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. In the Senate Mr Ferricks, refering to the Darwin trouble, said it was caused by a general belief that Mr Gilruth was interested in the Vestey Meat Trust, and that Mr Carey and other officials appointed on Mr Gilruth's'advice were equally interested.
Mr Glynn stated that steps had been taken to restore order in Darwin, and that a warship would shortly arrive there.—A. and N.Z.
