A number of tQie young- ladies of the district held a meeting in the hall on Saturday, August 16, and decided to hold a dance at an early date in honour of the returned soldiers.

The secretary pro. tern. was instructed to write to air F. BJlibtt, president of the Hukerenui Agricultural Association, asking him to attend and give a speech of welcome.
