WsVrIPU STOCK SALE,
The N.A. Farmers' Co-op, reports
On Tuesday, August J?, we held our usual monthly sale at Waipu, We yarded 300 head of cattle, the majority of which were young store cattle and dairy stock. Bidding was spirited from the start and m<">st of the lots changed hands at satisfactory prices, there being a noticeable improvement in the demand for store stock. There were no grown steers yarded.
One and a-faalf to , 2 J -year steers brought from £5 5/ to JE*9; yearlings, from £1 10/ to £4; empty cows, fi-om £5 10/ to £7 V; 2-year heifers, £4 to £G 10/; good dairy cows, close to profit, £10 to £35; backward sorts, £7 to £9.
