WHANGAREI LADY REPS.
MATCH IN AUCKLAND
COLLEGE TEAM BEATEN
(Special to "Advocate.")
Telegraphing to th c "Advocate" last night, the special correspondent of this paper summarises the "friendly" game played by the lad- • ies , representative team of Whangarei yesterday afternoon, against the "College" eleven. At the end of the first spell Whangarei had a lead of one goal (Mi?s Braun) to nil. The second spell showed Whangarei up to great advantage, three more goals being added ( while College was unable at any tim e to successfully penetrate the strong defence, and remained pointless at the finish of the game. The whole of the Whangarei team played with good combination in this half, once they had accustomed themselves to the fast ground, and at no time were they in difficulties. The scorers in the second spell were Misses Woods (1) and Crawford (2). But for th e superb display of, the College goalkeeper the score would certainly have been augmented.
