GOOD REPORTS.

The biyge.-;i burden on Iho trans-

port, organisation now concerns convalescents (says the Auckland "Star"), for many of these have to be removed from the Hospitals to Ellerslie or St. Joseph's each day, while others have to be brought in from the districts further out. An average of about six cases a day are being brought to the General Hospital, but these are chiefly old cases that have suffered relapse, while.a few are being brought in from the nearer country districts.

No more admissions have been made to the temporary hospitals, and the Technical College and Vermont Street are in such cheerful position that they will be closed down soon. Yesterday only one death occurred at the General Hospital, and none have happened for quite a long- time at the emergency wards in other places.
