HORVATH COUP FAILS.
STRIPPED OF AUTHORITY

WASHINGTON, Aug. 28
Vladivostok news states that General Pleshoff, acting on behalf of Horvath, the anti-Bolshevik leader, assumed control of the Russian military forces in the Far East by coup d'etat. The Siberian Government was nonplussed by the suddenness of the movement and unable to organise opposition.—A. and N.Z. NEW YORK, Aug. 29.
The "Times' " Washington correspondent states that official advices from Vladivostok state that Horvath's coup d'etat has failed.
The Allies' representatives at Vladivostok have divested Horvath of his self-assumed authority.—A. and N.Z.
