The situation in Siberia by the Horvat intervention and its probable effects completely puzzles official quarters in London, who say that the position is so complex and confused that nobody understands it. All the official news comes from Tokio, where the authorities are most reticent.—Reuter.
STOCKHOLM, Aug. 28
A prominent Finnish Socialist states that the White Guards in Finland recently shot ten thousand people, many of whom were innocent, and imprisoned' twenty thousand others.
The proposal of a monarchy passed the Landtag by seven votes by the exclusion of its opponents, while a great number of Labour members of the Landtag were illegally imprisoned.—Reuter.
