The French headquarters correspondent, writing on Wednesday evening says: "The Germans are strongly holding Noyon, particularly with ma-chine-guns concealed m houses. General Humbert's army has crossed the Roye-Noyon road near Scrmaile and Catigny. The Germans are energetically defending the hills east of Catigny. General Debeney has reached the neighbourhood of Cachy Ramocourt and has also reached the Somme between Rouy-le-Petit and Guian court.—Reuter.
