(High eohmirssioner's Cable.) (Press lissn.—Reed. 10.50 p.m.) LONDON, December 15. The High Commissioner reports as follows:— iAj French official message says 'lifter several days of artillery bombardment we attacked north of Douamont, between the Meuse and La Woevre, on a front of ten kilometres. "The enemy front was broken every:, where to a depth of three kilometres. "Besides numerous trenches we captured the villages of Vaeheraville and Louvemont, also farms at Cahrubrettes and works at Hadaumont and ■Bezonvaux. "& great number of the enemy were taken prisoner—7500 have already been counted, "We took or destroyed numerous, heavy field and trench guns and considerable material. Our aviators brilliantly assisted. "The success was complete, our losses being slight."'
